American Airlines suspends change fees for Northeast trips amid upcoming nor'easter
American Airlines will waive change fees for tickets bought by Sept. 23 for flights scheduled between Sept. 25 and Sept. 27 across 16 Northeast airports.
The carrier issued an alert covering major airports such as JFK, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty, Boston Logan and Philadelphia International. Travelers who purchased tickets no later than Sept. 23 can rebook without a fee, provided the new flight departs between Sept. 24 and Sept. 29, stays in the same cabin class and keeps the original origin and destination. All rebooking requests must be filed by Sept. 27.
