Delhi Capitals have hired former Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra as their spin bowling coach for the 2027 Indian Premier League season. Mishra, who ended his playing career in September, featured in 162 IPL games for Delhi Daredevils, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants, amassing 174 wickets and a record three hat-tricks. His IPL debut in 2008 saw a five-wicket performance that included his first hat-trick, with two more coming in 2011 and 2013.
After missing only the 2022 edition, he played his final match for Lucknow in 2024.
