Ammy Virk's convoy targeted in Abbotsford shooting, no injuries reported
A vehicle in singer Ammy Virk's convoy was fired on after his concert in Abbotsford, British Columbia, but all occupants escaped unharmed.
Ammy Virk concluded his show at Abbotsford's Rogers Forum on September 5 and departed with a convoy that included a bullet-proof Rolls-Royce Cullinan carrying four passengers. In the 2500-block of McCallum Road, a dark-coloured SUV allegedly fired between seven and ten shots at a vehicle in the convoy, hitting the rear window but causing no injuries. Shortly thereafter, police responded to a report of a burning SUV in the 2400-block of Sunnyside Place; the vehicle was found completely gutted.
Authorities have not confirmed whether Virk was inside the targeted car or identified the intended victim. The investigation continues to determine any connection between the shooting and the charred SUV.
