Ancestry slashes DNA kit prices up to 78% for Labor Day sale
Ancestry is offering discounts of up to 78% on its AncestryDNA kits during a Labor Day promotion that runs from Aug. 26 to Sept. 8.
Ancestry has launched a 2026 Labor Day promotion, reducing the cost of its AncestryDNA kits by up to 78 percent. The discounted sale begins at 10 a.m. ET on Aug. 26 and continues through Sept. 8. Customers may purchase the one-time DNA kit alone or pair it with membership bundles such as World Explorer, which adds international record collections and DNA-by-parent tools, or the All Access plan that also incorporates military and newspaper archives via Fold3 and Newspapers.com.
The test generates an origins report mapping ancestry to more than 3,600 places, including 68 newly updated regions in Europe, Canada and the North Atlantic and 63 African ethnic groups. A separate Ancestry membership is not required for the test, though some DNA features depend on a subscription. The deep discounts aim to attract viewers of genealogy series like Who Do You Think You Are?, which have showcased celebrities including Viola Davis, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lisa Kudrow and Kerry Washington.
