Andalusia launches grants covering up to 65% of home energy upgrades
The Junta de Andalucía has opened a new funding round that can cover between 50% and 65% of eligible costs for residential insulation, heating, cooling and solar-plus-battery installations.
The regional government of Andalucía has launched its latest round of energy-efficiency incentives, allowing residents to receive grants that cover at least half of qualifying costs and up to 65% when additional conditions—such as adding renewable generation or using an energy services company—are met. Eligible measures include insulation, heating, cooling, hot-water and lighting upgrades, while solar installations qualify only if paired with battery storage.
To qualify, the grant itself must be at least €10,000 for general retrofits or €6,000 for solar, meaning projects typically need to reach around €20,000 or €15,400 in eligible spending at the highest subsidy level. The program, funded with €20.77 million, accepts applications online via the energy agency portal on a first-come, first-served basis until 30 September 2027 or until funds run out, whichever comes first. For grants exceeding €15,000, applicants can request an advance of 15% without guarantee or 40% with a bank guarantee. Existing works that began on or after 1 May 2025 are also eligible, provided the homeowner has not yet applied.
Why it matters
The subsidies could make costly energy-saving upgrades affordable for many Andalusian households, reducing bills and emissions.
