Andrew Tate's lawyer says the influencer is gravely ill in Miami detention
Attorney Joe McBride claims Andrew Tate is seriously ill in the Federal Detention Center in Miami and urges prayers while he awaits UK extradition.
Andrew Tate’s counsel, Joe McBride, announced that the 39-year-old influencer is suffering from a severe illness while confined at the Federal Detention Center in Miami, where he has repeatedly requested medical attention without success. McBride said the lack of care violates basic human rights and threatened to sue the facility if treatment is not provided promptly. Both Tate brothers have been detained in the special housing unit of the prison since their July 18 arrest following a British extradition request.
Their lawyer also highlighted the poor commissary provisions, noting significant weight loss for both men. Human Rights Watch has previously documented overcrowding and unsanitary conditions at the Miami detention center. The Tates face numerous charges in the United Kingdom, including rape and human trafficking, and are also under investigation in Romania.
