Anghel Saligny investment program runs out of budget, transfers temporarily halted

The Ministry of Development announced that budget allocations for the Anghel Saligny National Investment Program have been exhausted, pausing transfer requests.

The Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration reported that the budget earmarked for the Anghel Saligny National Investment Program has been completely used, leading to a suspension of transfer applications. The suspension excludes beneficiaries that fall under OUG no. 87/2025, which allows them to cover 20% of the estimated amount from their own budgets, with those funds already reserved. For projects already in progress, local authorities can keep working by tapping their own resources or other lawful sources, or they may halt work to prevent debt accumulation.

The ministry indicated that any future budget supplementation would be communicated and transfers would restart. Additionally, beneficiaries who temporarily covered state contributions from their own funds can later claim reimbursement during the contract period.
