Anker and Mammotion unveil robot mowers with built-in edge-trimming arms

Anker’s new Eufy Robot Lawn Mower S2 Max, unveiled at IFA 2026, features an extendable trimming arm that can clean edges around driveways and flowerbeds, eliminating the need for boundary wires thanks to vSLAM navigation and built-in cameras. The mower can map and mow areas up to 3.7 acres and manage slopes of up to 38 degrees, with an all-wheel-drive system and a launch scheduled for May 2027 at a price of €3,999, though U.S. pricing remains undisclosed.

Meanwhile, Mammotion introduced the Luba 4 AWD series, which relies on four front, side and rear cameras plus a 360-degree LiDAR and cloud-based RTK for precise navigation, promising “zero dead zones and zero drift.” The line includes three models—3000F, 6000F and 12000F—covering up to 3 acres, with the smaller units supporting a detachable edge-cutting attachment and wider cutting widths. Pre-orders for the Luba 4 AWD are expected later this year, but pricing details have not been released. The launch reflects a broader industry trend toward robot mowers that incorporate built-in edgers, joining competitors such as Segway, Ecovacs and Roborock.
