Anonymous bomb threats prompt evacuations at six Vilnius schools
Police received anonymous warnings of explosions at six schools in Vilnius and evacuated one building after a security firm reported a possible bomb.
Early Thursday, police were alerted to an anonymous email threatening explosions at six schools in Vilnius, naming the Adomas Mickevičius Lyceum and the gymnasiums in Užupis, Žvėrynas, Veiksmo, Pažinimo Medžio and Abraomas Kulvietis, with the attacks slated for 10:00. A private security company separately reported a possible bomb at the Žvėrynas Gymnasium, prompting the immediate evacuation of its pupils. Police dispatched patrols to each location, examined the premises and found no sign of a real threat, noting the threatening messages contained many grammatical and logical mistakes.
