Anthropic adds Claude Docs and Slides, unifies chat interface
Anthropic launched beta versions of Claude Docs and Slides, letting users create and edit files directly within Claude chats, and merged its chat modes into a single interface.
Anthropic announced the beta release of Claude Docs and Slides, expanding its AI platform to produce and modify text documents and slide decks directly from chat interactions. Users can request changes, collaborate in real time, and share a single link that works across devices. At the same time, the company streamlined its chat services by merging standard chats with the Cowork mode into a single "one Claude" interface, making Design, Docs and Slides tools accessible from any conversation.
The integration also brings artifact handling and design capabilities into the same window. The update is first being offered to Pro and Max users on web, desktop and mobile platforms, with Team and Free tiers to follow in the coming weeks. No additional activation steps are required, and the traditional chat experience remains unchanged.
Why it matters
The launch narrows the gap between Anthropic's AI and Google’s productivity suite, offering a unified AI-driven workflow.
