Anthropic inks $11.6 billion cloud pact with Akamai, shares surge
Anthropic has entered a seven-year cloud services contract worth $11.6 billion with Akamai Technologies, which could grow to roughly $20 billion.
The agreement gives Anthropic access to additional computing capacity as its workloads expand. Akamai issued a warrant that may grant up to 5 % of its common stock to Anthropic, with about 2 % expected to vest under the initial deal.
