Anthropic launches $100 million program to train 10,000 AI deployment engineers

Anthropic is investing $100 million in the Claude Frontier Academy to certify 10,000 engineers for enterprise AI deployment by 2027.

Anthropic announced a $100 million investment in the Claude Frontier Academy, a training pipeline intended to address the shortage of engineers who can deploy AI within businesses. The inaugural cohorts include staff from major consulting and financial firms, who will first attend a multi-day, on-site program led by Anthropic engineers before entering a 12-week residency that tasks them with delivering a Claude-based solution at their employer.

Anthropic plans to certify 10,000 Frontier Deployed Engineers (FDEs) by 2027, with the first batch graduating in early 2027. The initiative follows Accenture’s 2025 partnership with Anthropic, which created an Anthropic Business Group and pledged to train about 30,000 professionals on Claude. A recent Draup analysis showed FDE job openings rising to 1,404 across five leading consulting firms, even as overall tech hiring fell.

Why it matters

The program aims to close the talent gap that limits companies from safely and effectively adopting AI technologies.
