Antonio Brown accepts plea deal that avoids prison in attempted murder case

Antonio Brown’s criminal case is moving toward resolution as his lawyer, Mark Eiglarsh, announced a plea agreement with prosecutors. Under the deal, Brown will plead guilty to a reduced felony count and receive a recommendation for probation, with no jail, house arrest, or ankle monitor required. The arrangement also includes a stay-away order protecting the alleged victim, Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu.

Although Brown asserts he acted in self-defense during a May 2025 incident outside an Adin Ross boxing event, he chose the plea to spare his family the uncertainty of a trial that could have led to decades in prison. The formal acceptance is scheduled for a Miami-Dade County courtroom on September 30. Eiglarsh said Brown hopes the settlement will allow him to focus on his children and rebuild his career.
