Apple hikes prices of all legacy iPhone models by $100
Apple has increased the cost of every older iPhone still on sale by $100 following its recent product event.
In the wake of its "Surprise and shine" launch, Apple announced a $100 price increase across its entire lineup of older iPhones that are still available for purchase. The adjustment moves the iPhone 16 from $699 to $799, and pushes the 256 GB iPhone 17E to $699, up from $599 at launch. The standard iPhone 17 now starts at $899, a $100 rise from the previous $799 entry point.
The iPhone Air follows the same pattern, now priced at $1,099 instead of $999. The base iPhone 18 was not featured at the event, with the company focusing on higher-end models starting at $1,199. Consequently, consumers seeking a lower-cost iPhone will face higher prices than just a day earlier.
