Apple launches $50 monthly AppleCare One Family plan for up to six users
Apple unveiled a new AppleCare One Family tier costing $50 per month, covering eligible devices for up to six family members.
At its recent launch event for the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18, Apple introduced an AppleCare One Family subscription priced at $50 a month. The plan protects any eligible Apple device—generally products under four years old—belonging to up to six family members linked via Family Sharing. Coverage includes theft and loss protection, free battery swaps, and repairs for accidental damage, with a maximum of six claims annually, one per member.
Existing AppleCare+ plans cover fewer devices and offer fewer claims. To enroll, families must set up Family Sharing in Settings, then activate the plan under AppleCare & Warranty.
Why it matters
It offers broader, affordable protection for families with multiple Apple devices, simplifying insurance management.
