Apple launches intimate 600-seat Apple Music Hall in London’s Batter-on-Power venue

Apple opened a 600-seat Apple Music Hall inside the historic Battersea Power Station, debuting with an Elton John concert.

Apple has opened a 600-seat Apple Music Hall within the iconic Battersea Power Station, converting the former power plant into a high-tech concert space. The venue’s launch was headlined by Elton John, who returned to a UK audience for the first time since his 2023 Glastonbury set. Designed for intimate performances, the hall will host a range of artists across pop, hip-hop, electronic, indie and afrobeats, including Baby Keem and Charli xcx.

Equipped with 48 surround-sound speakers, two professional studios, a mixing suite and over 16 cameras, the space can stream live shows and produce multi-channel Spatial Audio recordings. Apple plans to make concerts both exclusive for the 600 attendees and globally accessible via Apple Music. The hall also signals Apple’s return to organizing its own live-music events after ending the Apple Music Festival in 2016.

Why it matters

Apple’s new venue blends exclusive live music with global streaming, reshaping concert experiences and expanding the company’s cultural footprint.
