Apple's upcoming event to unveil OLED MacBook Pro and refreshed iPad mini
Apple will host a “Pro and tell” event on Oct. 28 in Los Angeles, where it is expected to debut a touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro and an OLED iPad mini.
Apple’s “Pro and tell” presentation is slated for Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. PT in Los Angeles, following a teaser posted by senior vice president of marketing Greg Joswiak. The centerpiece is likely a redesigned MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen, offered in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes and driven by M5 Pro or M5 Max silicon, while retaining the keyboard and trackpad. The new laptops may replace the notch with a Dynamic Island UI and could cost up to $500 more than current models.
An updated entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro is expected to ship with the upcoming M6 chip without major design changes. Apple may also refresh its 24-inch iMac with the M6 processor and introduce a smaller iPad mini featuring an OLED screen, an A20 Pro chip, and a repositioned front camera.
Why it matters
The launch could reshape laptop and tablet markets with touch-enabled OLED displays and newer processors.
