Apple unveils new devices in bid to lift its lofty stock valuation

Apple is launching a smart-home lineup, a foldable iPhone Duo and updated Macs and iPads as it seeks to spark growth in its high-priced shares.

Apple announced a series of product rollouts aimed at reviving momentum in its premium-priced shares. A smart-home event on Tuesday will showcase an Apple doorbell and thermostat, while later in the month the firm plans to release a touchscreen MacBook and an updated iPad mini. The foldable iPhone Duo, the most significant design shift for the iPhone line, opens for pre-orders on Friday with a premium price tag.

Despite a 25% rise this year, the stock has stagnated, trading at more than 35 times forward earnings, near its highest multiple since 2007. Analysts note that Apple’s growth is lagging peers and that the new devices must prove compelling to justify the valuation. Investor sentiment remains mixed, with some seeing the AI ecosystem as a long-term tailwind while others doubt immediate revenue impact.
