Aqara unveils extensive new smart lighting range at IFA

Aqara introduced a suite of smart lighting products at IFA, including a tall RGBIC floor lamp, outdoor string lights and an upgraded LED strip, all supporting Zigbee, Thread and Matter.

During its IFA presentation, Aqara announced a comprehensive expansion into smart lighting, showcasing several new products that work with Zigbee, Thread and the Matter standard. The centerpiece is a 4.6-foot floor lamp that delivers RGBIC illumination across 18 individually controllable zones, creating a colored wash on surrounding walls. For exterior use, Aqara added permanent outdoor fixtures with addressable LEDs and RGBIC string lights that can be set to festive colors or warm and cool whites.

An updated LED strip now supports multi-zone control, offering 18 zones per 3-meter length, while a second-generation downlight is available in 4- and 6-inch sizes with either RGB-CCT or pure RGB output. All items integrate with major Matter-compatible platforms, including Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, Home Assistant and Homey. No details on pricing or market availability were provided.

Why it matters

The launch broadens Aqara's smart-home ecosystem, giving consumers more interoperable lighting options.
