Arizona women's basketball has added 6-foot-2 Canadian forward Ashley Vande Ven to its 2027 recruiting class, marking another sizable addition for coach Becky Burke. Vande Ven, a four-star one outlet ranked No. 82 by one outlet and rated four stars by Prospects Nation, will arrive from Crestwood Prep in Toronto. She joins 6-foot wing Brieana Brown and 6-foot-4 power forward Celsy Colombo, completing a group of three four-star players.
Vande Ven has competed for Canada in the 2025 U16 AmeriCup, earning a silver medal, and the 2026 U17 World Cup, where the team placed fourth. Her international experience includes averages of double-digit points and strong rebounding numbers. The 2026 class was a top-20 recruiting effort, and the 2027 group is expected to be at least as strong.
