Arla Foods recalls several pineapple-almond cream cheese packs over possible insect contamination

Arla Foods Deutschland GmbH is pulling three pineapple-almond cream cheese products after a supplier’s almond mix may have been infested with insects.

Arla Foods Deutschland GmbH has issued a precautionary recall of three pineapple-almond cream cheese products after learning that the almond mixture supplied for the cheese could be contaminated with insects. The affected items include Castello rings with a best-before date of 16.12.2026, Milsani rings dated 25.11.2026 and 30.11.2026, and Viking rings dated 30.11.2026, all identified by the code DK M277 EU. These products are sold at major German retailers such as Edeka, Rewe, Spar, Aldi Süd and Norma.

While the company states the cheese remains safe for consumption, it urges shoppers to either discard the items or return them for a full refund. Arla has already begun withdrawing the products from shelves and issued an apology, emphasizing its commitment to food-quality standards. Questions can be directed to the company via [email protected].
