AI-focused security startup Armadin disclosed a $255.5 million Series B financing that values the company at more than $2.5 billion. The round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel, with new investors Bain Capital Ventures and Redpoint joining existing backers such as Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Menlo Ventures and In-Q-Tel. The new capital lifts Armadin’s total funding to $445 million.
CEO Kevin Mandia, who previously founded Mandiant, said the money will be used to scale its AI-driven platform, boost research and training, and accelerate go-to-market activities. Armadin’s approach relies on a swarm of AI agents that act like hackers to identify system weaknesses. The sizable investment reflects growing investor interest in defenses against AI-powered cyber threats.
