Armed robber demands cash at Oklahoma City store, leaves with snacks after clerk says none
A masked man wielding an AR-15-style rifle attempted to rob a convenience store in Oklahoma City; when told there was no cash, he took a few snack bars and was later arrested.
On July 16, officers were called to a convenience store at the corner of N.E. 63rd and Bryant Avenue in Oklahoma City after a report of an armed robbery. A male suspect, masked in gray and brandishing an AR-15-style rifle, demanded between $100 and $200 from the employee. When the clerk explained that there was no cash on hand, the gunman settled for about five Hostess snack bars before leaving the premises.
The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office later identified the perpetrator as Tobias Braddy and charged him with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. WKRC-TV reported that Braddy was taken to the Oklahoma County Detention Center, though a subsequent check of the facility’s inmate roster did not show his name. A comment on KOKH’s Facebook page suggested the suspect is a repeat offender who believes he can act without consequence.
