Arrmanatha Nasir Takes Over as Indonesia's Foreign Minister

Arrmanatha Nasir was formally appointed Indonesia's foreign minister in a ceremony at the Foreign Ministry’s Pancasila Building in Jakarta on October 12.

On Monday, October 12, Arrmanatha Nasir officially assumed the role of Indonesia's foreign minister during a ceremony at the Foreign Ministry’s Pancasila Building in Jakarta. The event began with the reading and signing of the transfer document by former minister Sugiono and Nasir, followed by the handover of the ministerial memorandum. After the formalities, the two officials exchanged a handshake and a brief embrace before photographs were taken.

President Prabowo Subianto appointed Nasir on October 1, replacing Sugiono, who was reassigned as coordinating minister for community empowerment and culture. Earlier, Sugiono transferred his new coordinating minister duties to his predecessor Pratikno on October 5.
