Arsenal's full list of possible Champions League group foes revealed ahead of draw
Arsenal now knows every team it could face in the Champions League group stage, with the draw set for Thursday.
After the last qualifying matches, Arsenal has been given the full slate of clubs it might encounter in the Champions League group stage. UEFA announced that the draw will take place on Thursday, August 27th at 17:00 BST, and that the complete fixture list will be published no later than Saturday, August 29th. The Gunners will be placed in Pot 1 as domestic league champions, yet they will still be drawn against two teams from each of the four pots, with one home and one away game per pot.
They cannot be paired with fellow English sides such as Liverpool, Manchester City, Aston Villa or Manchester United until the knockout rounds. Additionally, a new rule bars a third consecutive away match against Inter Milan, meaning Arsenal cannot travel to the San Siro this season, though a home clash at the Emirates Stadium remains on the table.
Why it matters
Fans need to know Arsenal's possible group opponents and scheduling before the Champions League draw.
