ASUS rolls out Ace series OLED gaming monitors for esports at Gamescom

ASUS announced its new Ace series of esports-focused gaming monitors during Gamescom 2026, expanding the brand’s OLED portfolio into a portable 24.5-inch format. The flagship ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace delivers a record-setting 720 Hz refresh rate, a 1080p WOLED panel capable of 1,700 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision HDR, and a novel Position Sensor that logs the display’s height and tilt for easy setup replication.

Two additional models, the ROG Strix OLED XG259QDPG Ace and the ROG Strix OLED XG259QDNS Ace, employ QD-OLED panels with 560 Hz and 360 Hz refresh rates respectively, both featuring ASUS’ BlackShield film and anti-glare coating that improve perceived black levels by up to 40 percent and increase panel hardness. The 560 Hz version is positioned as a premium offering, while the 360 Hz variant targets a more affordable market segment.

Prices announced are $1,099 for the 720 Hz monitor and $699 for the 560 Hz model; the 360 Hz unit’s pricing and release window were not disclosed. The Ace line joins earlier OLED models shown at Computex and CES, marking ASUS’s first foray into a smaller-size, high-performance esports display.
