Atoire secures $9.5 million seed to sell factory-made luxury goods at modest prices
Fashion platform Atoire disclosed a $9.5 million seed injection, targeting shoppers with products crafted in the same factories as premium labels but priced far lower.
Atoire announced Thursday that it has closed a $9.5 million seed round with backing from a16z Speedrun, Night Capital and Lightspeed Ventures’ Jeremy Liew. Leveraging artificial-intelligence tools, the company connects high-quality luxury manufacturers directly to end-users, allowing shoppers to purchase handbags and clothing produced with the same material and craftsmanship as top-tier brands at a fraction of the cost.
Founder Redouane Ramdani, who previously sold the creator platform Snipfeed, describes the offering as “slow” fashion rather than a fast-fashion duplicate, emphasizing that the goods come from the same factories that serve established houses. The venture arrives amid growing consumer fatigue with inflated luxury prices and a surge in demand for near-identical, affordable alternatives. AI assists factories in forecasting demand, reducing overproduction, and managing material supplies, while the Atoire website features an AI stylist that curates outfits and learns shopper preferences. The company reported roughly $5 million in sales last year and projects an annualized run rate exceeding $55 million this year, with plans to expand logistics, develop more AI capabilities, launch an in-house line, and partner with creators and influencers.
Why it matters
The funding shows AI and new financing can democratize luxury-quality fashion, giving consumers high-grade options at affordable prices.
