Attorney General's Office Nears Court Filing in Febrie Adriansyah Corruption Probe
The Attorney General’s Office says its investigation into former senior prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah and two associates is complete and ready for prosecution.
After two months of inquiry, the Attorney General’s Office declared its probe into former senior prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah, lawyer Don Ritto and businessman Nurman Herin complete from a technical standpoint. Assistant Attorney General Rudi Margono reported the finding at a joint meeting with the National Police’s corruption eradication corps and Jakarta Police, stating that the investigative team considers the case ready for the next phase.
The alleged wrongdoing concerns corruption and money laundering linked to the AGO’s handling of cases involving state insurers Jiwasraya and Asabri, where Adriansyah once led the special crimes division. While the dossier has not yet been transferred to the South Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office, the meeting concluded that it should proceed to prosecution promptly to ensure legal certainty. No specific timeline for filing the case in court was provided. The three suspects face charges under Article 12 of the 2001 Corruption Eradication Law for extortion by public officials.
