Attorney-General sends KLIA incident report back to police for further probe

The Attorney-General's Chambers returned the investigation file on the KLIA Terminal 1 incident to the police, citing the need to verify CCTV footage and other issues involving the AKPS chief.

The Attorney-General's Chambers reviewed the investigation paper on the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 incident and found gaps that need further inquiry. Consequently, the agency returned the file to the police for additional investigation. The incident involved Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, the director-general of the Malaysia Border Control and Protection Agency.

Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar highlighted that verifying the CCTV footage's authenticity is a priority, along with other related issues. He indicated that these steps are necessary before any final decision can be made. The police will now continue their investigation based on the returned documents.
