Audi clarifies that Győr plant shutdown decision does not affect Audi Hungary

Audi Hungary confirmed that the Volkswagen Group supervisory board's recent resolution does not affect the Győr facility, and there are currently no plans to alter its capacity usage. The group decision sets the parameters for its future strategic plan, delegating execution to each brand, with Audi receiving clear direction. The company’s goal is to significantly improve competitiveness by reducing expenses and operational complexity.

It will also concentrate its product range and prioritize future investments accordingly. Additionally, Audi is strengthening its regional focus in North America, emphasizing SUV models and supplier localization, while streamlining its organization and expanding automation and AI use.
