Audi India targets double-digit growth next year with new Q3, A5 and Q9 launches

Audi India expects flat sales in 2026 but aims for double-digit growth in 2027 by adding new models and tapping festival demand.

Audi India projects no growth for 2026 even as the domestic luxury segment is expected to expand about 12 %. Brand director Balbir Singh Dhillon attributes the flat performance to aging models leaving gaps in the lineup, not to insufficient consumer demand. To reverse the trend, Audi will debut a new-generation Q3 SUV between October and December, with the A5 slated for early 2027 and the Q9 for later that year.

Dhillon notes that festival months typically generate a 20-25 % rise in showroom enquiries and expects the Q3 to attract strong interest, though buyers await pricing. Historically, the Q3 accounts for 25-30 % of Audi’s Indian sales when the full range is available. Over the next three to five years, Audi plans to lift its market share from roughly 7.5 % to 15-16 % and grow its dealer network to 40 outlets by the end of 2027 and 50 by 2030.

Why it matters

Audi's plan could reshape competition in India's expanding luxury car market.
