Audi unveils A2 e-tron electric hatchback with new digital cockpit and magnetic accessories
Audi's A2 e-tron features a 11.9-inch digital display, a 12.8-inch curved touchscreen and a magnetic mounting system for accessories, while offering a 396-liter boot.
Audi's new A2 e-tron electric model combines an 11.9-inch digital instrument panel with a 12.8-inch curved touch screen, and relocates the gear selector to the steering column to create additional room on the centre console. This space now houses a wireless charging pad capable of delivering 25 watts to two smartphones simultaneously. A standout feature is the Fidlock magnetic mounting system, allowing owners to snap cup holders and cable-bag accessories to designated points in the cabin and boot, a technology Audi claims is first for a series-production car. The vehicle shares a 2770 mm wheelbase with the Q4 e-tron, suggesting ample rear legroom, but its trunk holds 396 liters, trailing the Renault Mégane E-tech's 440 liters yet surpassing the Volkswagen ID.3 Neo's 385 liters and Volvo EX30's 318 liters.
