August IPO frenzy sees ten issues oversubscribed more than 100 times
In August, ten Indian IPOs attracted bids exceeding 100 times the shares on offer, the strongest monthly surge since 2006.
August’s IPO market delivered a remarkable surge, as ten companies received subscription bids more than 100 times the shares they floated, the highest monthly count since 2006. Hy-Tech Engineers topped the list with a 244.41-times oversubscription, while Tempsens Instruments India and ESDS Software Solutions recorded 183.53- and 135.88-times respectively. The cumulative number of 100-times-subscribed issues for 2026 now stands at 15, ranking third historically.
Earlier in the year, July contributed three such IPOs and June added two, with only Bharat Coking Coal achieving the feat in January. The last comparable wave occurred in 2024, when 23 of 91 IPOs were oversubscribed beyond the 100-times mark.
