Aurum Resources reports strong new gold intercepts at Boundiali ahead of resource update
Aurum Resources announced high-grade gold results from three deposits at its Boundiali project in Côte d’Ivoire, supporting a forthcoming resource estimate.
Aurum Resources released assay results from a recent 10,649-metre drilling program at its flagship Boundiali gold project in Côte d’Ivoire, covering the BMT1, BMT2 and BMT3 deposits. The campaign yielded multiple high-grade intersections, such as a 29-metre stretch grading 2.08 g/t gold in BMT1, a 5.85-metre interval at 8.77 g/t in BMT3, and promising grades at BMT2 that will underpin a maiden inferred resource. The company plans to incorporate these results into a revised mineral resource estimate slated for early this quarter.
With a cash balance exceeding A$95 million and its own fleet of 16 diamond rigs, Aurum is advancing a definitive feasibility study, targeting funding and construction start in early CY2027 and first gold production in the first half of CY2028. The firm also intends to drill a total of 180,000 metres this year, split between Boundiali and its Napié project.
Why it matters
The new drill results could significantly boost Aurum's gold reserves and accelerate development of a major West African mining project.
