Australian and New Zealand police crack down on Lone Wolf outlaw biker gang
Police in Australia and New Zealand executed coordinated raids that led to 20 arrests and dozens of charges against the Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.
Taskforce Morpheus, a collaborative unit of Australian state, territory and Commonwealth law-enforcement agencies, partnered with New Zealand police to dismantle the Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, assessed as posing a very high organized-crime threat. During a coordinated day of action, officers executed 18 search warrants, conducted 10 firearms compliance inspections and confiscated cocaine, MDMA, illegal tobacco and vape items.
The operation produced 20 arrests and 69 criminal charges, reflecting the gang’s alleged role in drug trafficking, money laundering and violent intimidation. Queensland Detective Superintendent Troy Pukallus said the group prioritises profit over community safety, while Australian Border Force Commander Graeme Campbell warned that illicit tobacco sales fund further criminal activity. NSW Police Force Raptor Squad Commander Brad Abdy stressed that cross-jurisdiction intelligence will make it increasingly difficult for such gangs to operate.
Why it matters
The crackdown disrupts a major trans-national biker gang involved in drug, tobacco and violent crime across Australia and New Zealand.
