Australian Federal Police conduct raid on former union official's Keilor residence

Early this morning, a team of Australian Federal Police officers, accompanied by a sniffer dog, entered the Keilor property of former Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union figure John Perkovic. Investigators examined the backyard and the area beneath a black Range Rover parked in the driveway. Perkovic left the premises shortly after the search began. He had served as a union organiser for more than ten years and was promoted to deputy leader after the union entered administration in 2024, before being dismissed in October 2025 over corruption allegations.
