Author alleges Amazon hides his anti-Islam book from search results
Robert Spencer claims Amazon’s site does not return his book, The Tragedy of Islam, in any search, suggesting deliberate suppression.
Robert Spencer, author of The Tragedy of Islam: Failure and Excuses, says Amazon’s internal search fails to list his book, even though a direct URL to the product page is active. He tried numerous queries—title, subtitle, his name, publisher—and each time other books, notably one by Imam Mohammad Tawhidi, appeared instead. By contrast, his earlier titles surface instantly in Amazon searches, and the same book is readily found on Barnes & Noble.
Spencer argues that the retailer is effectively hiding the work, echoing past incidents where Amazon removed controversial titles. He urges readers to purchase the book while it remains available and to test the search behavior themselves. The piece is presented as a personal account of perceived platform censorship.
