Authorities seize property and car from suspect in Volánbusz corruption probe

In the continuing Volánbusz corruption investigation, the Central Prosecutor's Office announced the seizure of a real-estate holding and a vehicle belonging to a suspect, as well as the securing of further assets. The criminal proceedings, now in their fifth month, focus on alleged acceptance of official bribes and related offenses, with the National Defense Service cooperating in the case. Six individuals have been formally accused, and two remain in custody: Jellinek Dániel, who heads the Indotek group, and Szivek Norbert, the former chief executive of Magyar Nemzeti Vagyonkezelő. The office also noted that witnesses have been interviewed and that the newly created National Asset Recovery and Protection Office will take over further steps in the matter.
