AWS unveils service that lets viewers watch up to 11 live feeds on one screen
Amazon's cloud unit AWS introduced a new media service that enables streamers to deliver up to 11 simultaneous live video feeds in a single personalized channel.
AWS announced a suite of enhancements to its video-delivery platform, highlighted by the MediaPackage Dynamic Multiview service that can compose up to 11 live feeds into a single stream on demand. Viewers can select their preferred camera arrangement, which is delivered over standard HLS or DASH protocols without the need for separate encoding per layout. The offering includes real-time AI metadata generation for targeted monetization and a Yield Optimization tool that automatically fills unused ad slots using Amazon Publisher Services demand.
Demonstrated at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, the technology is already powering JioHotstar’s four-camera view of Indian Premier League matches, scaling to over 100 million viewers while simplifying origin and CDN requirements. Additional capabilities such as low-latency personalized ad insertion via Apple’s HLS interstitials were also introduced.
Why it matters
The service lets broadcasters offer highly customized live experiences while cutting costs and expanding ad revenue opportunities.
