Ayuso warns of a left-wing “Popular Front” threatening Spain’s stability
Isabel Díaz Ayuso said she will stay in politics until the situation changes, accusing Pedro Sánchez’s government of fostering chaos and fear.
Isabel Díaz Ayuso announced she has no intention of withdrawing from the political arena, pledging to stay until the prevailing conditions shift, which she predicts will take a long time. Speaking to Horizonte on Cuatro, she portrayed Spain as being governed by a “mafia” and expressed personal fear that the country could become unrecognizable. Ayuso singled out Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and the “Popular Front” he is assembling, accusing them of deliberately undermining public safety, border control, and the livelihoods of SMEs, farmers, ranchers and transport operators.
She linked recent protests in Puerta del Sol and other street actions to a left-wing effort to retain power through unrest. Ayuso said she may seek judicial protection for citizens whose rights she believes are being violated, and warned that the coming weeks could bring “very hard” scenes across the nation, especially in Madrid.
Why it matters
Ayuso’s warnings signal heightened political tension and potential unrest ahead of Spain’s upcoming electoral cycle.
