Bad Bunny Secures First Emmy for Super Bowl Halftime Spectacle

Bad Bunny has been honored with his inaugural Emmy for the Super Bowl halftime production, winning the outstanding variety special (live) award. The show, officially called "The Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Starring Bad Bunny," garnered seven nominations and secured victories in music direction, choreography, hair styling, sound mixing and lighting design. High-profile performers Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin joined the act, while the staging incorporated a live-wedding segment and authentic local vendors such as Los Angeles' Villa’s Tacos.

Harriet Cuddeford, the creative director, explained that the performance was designed to highlight ordinary individuals, celebrate love and joy, and showcase the significance of Latino culture. The Emmy recognition underscores the technical and artistic complexity of what many consider the most elaborate halftime show in Super Bowl history.
