Badajoz drug dealer linked to judge Biedma case wins lottery prize

A Badajoz narcotics figure who admitted spying on judge Beatriz Biedma received a lottery win shortly before a plot to eliminate her was activated.

Moto Ratón, a drug trafficker from Badajoz who admitted to physically following judge Beatriz Biedma, was one of three individuals to claim a lottery prize. The award was announced shortly before a scheme, reportedly organized by Leire Díez's network, aimed to eliminate the magistrate. The three winners divided the prize equally, celebrated publicly, and documented the event on social media.

Within a week, Moto Ratón filed a complaint asserting sole ownership of the ticket, alleging threats with a firearm and accusing the other two of extortion and kidnapping. A court subsequently froze a substantial portion of the winnings while the two women maintained that the ticket had been purchased jointly. Their case was eventually dismissed for lack of evidence, and they recovered their share after the freeze was lifted. In 2026, Moto Ratón sought to reopen the case, but the court again refused.
