Bahama Breeze to close all remaining sites by May 2027, converting them to Darden brands
Darden Restaurants announced that the last 11 Bahama Breeze locations will shut down by May 2027 and be rebranded as other Darden concepts.
Darden Restaurants confirmed that all remaining Bahama Breeze eateries will be shuttered by May 2027, ending a 30-year run. The chain, which once had dozens of locations, now operates only 11 sites across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Beginning tomorrow, the Georgia restaurant will close, and each location will later reopen under a different Darden banner, including Olive Garden, Yard House, Chuy’s, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen and others.
CEO Ricardo Cardenas said the brand is no longer a strategic priority after a recent review. A detailed schedule lists specific closure dates and the new concepts for each venue. This closure follows a wave of recent restaurant chain failures, notably Salad and Go’s Chapter 11 filing and total shutdown.
