Baku Forum Calls for Greater Global Cooperation Against Cross-Border Terror and Cyber Threats

The Baku Security Forum convened security and intelligence officials from a range of nations to address the rising challenge of threats that cross borders. Delegates focused on counterterrorism, the use of technology by terrorist networks, and the surge in cyber attacks. Azerbaijan framed international peace, mutual trust and cooperation as the forum’s primary objectives.
A parallel session hosted by the UN Office of Counterterrorism explored practical partnerships and the strengthening of national counterterrorism capacities. Discussions also emphasized the necessity of timely information-sharing among agencies to prevent the escalation of emerging dangers. Participants concluded that no single country can effectively combat terrorism or other cross-border threats alone.
