Barber discovers cash bags on ATM and returns them to authorities

In Lewisville, a barber and a woman noticed several bags of money and checks sitting on an ATM. The barber, a 37-year-old resident of Denton County, immediately contacted emergency services and tried to turn the cash over to a Chick-fil-A manager, who said the money was not theirs. Officers arrived, counted the cash twice to ensure accuracy, and stored it safely.
Police identified the funds as belonging to Bank of America, which had been in the process of being transported by Brinks when a technician mistakenly left the bags on the machine. Bank of America later retrieved the money, and officials highlighted the importance of community assistance in such incidents.
