Barilla commits €100 million to new pasta hub in Foggia, Southern Italy

Barilla announced a €100 million investment to build an integrated pasta hub in Foggia, Puglia, slated for completion between 2028 and 2030.

The pasta maker will create a next-generation mill as part of a broader restructuring of its southern Italian operations. The project aims to generate new jobs and position the Foggia site as a strategic hub for the company. Improvements are expected in sustainability, logistics and production efficiency, serving both domestic and export markets.

Why it matters

The investment boosts jobs and modernises food production in a historically under-invested region of Italy.
