Bayer recalls Flintstones vitamins, Claritin and Aleve tablets over distribution error

Bayer Inc. has recalled Flintstones Complete Multivitamins, 10 mg Claritin Allergy tablets and 200 mg Aleve tablets after returned items were mistakenly placed back into inventory and redistributed.

A recall has been issued for Flintstones Complete Multivitamins and Minerals tablets, 10 mg Claritin Allergy tablets, and 200 mg Aleve tablets after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency discovered that returned merchandise was mistakenly restocked and distributed through wholesale channels. Bayer Inc., the producer of all three products, is responsible for notifying customers and removing the items from circulation. The agency recommends that shoppers check with Bayer to determine if their purchases are part of the recall.

It also highlighted that any adverse health reactions linked to the recalled products should be reported to Health Canada. This action aims to prevent further exposure to potentially unsafe goods.

Why it matters

Consumers need to know about the recall to avoid using potentially unsafe medication and to report any side effects.
