Bayonne's Little League Dream Ends with 5-2 Defeat to Ohio Squad

Bayonne's Little League team saw its World Series run end on Tuesday night, losing 5-2 to West Side Little League of Hamilton, Ohio, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Jett Bridges and Boone Treadway kept the game tight for the first three innings, but Ohio erupted for five runs in the fourth after a series of walks and hits. Bayonne responded with a run in the fifth and added two more in the sixth, knocking Treadway out of the game, yet could not overcome the deficit.

The final out was recorded when Chase Klimkowski grounded into the last play. Coach Justin Smith lauded the players, noting their top-12 world ranking and urging them to cherish the experience. Hamilton will next meet Phenix City, Alabama, in the upcoming round.
