Beehiiv adds veteran journalists to its Media Collective roster

Beehiiv announced three new members—travel editor Peter Greenberg, former IndieWire chief Dana Harris-Bridson, and reporter David Covucci—joining its Media Collective for independent publishing support.

Beehiiv, the platform that supports independent creators, has broadened its Media Collective by adding three seasoned journalists. Peter Greenberg, long-time travel editor at one outlet, will launch a travel-oriented newsletter titled “The Upgrade” on September 15, covering airline practices, cruise safety and related topics. Former IndieWire editor Dana Harris-Bridson will start Flamingo Media in January 2027, focusing on the “Story Economy” that links entertainment, brands and technology.

David Covucci, a former editor at The Daily Dot and Uproxx Media, recently founded FOIAball, an investigative publication that uses public-record laws to examine college-sports issues. The Media Collective, created in 2024, now supports more than 30 journalists, offering services such as legal aid, healthcare, technology and audience development while allowing members to keep 100% of their earnings. Collectively, the group reaches over one million active subscribers.

Why it matters

The expansion shows growing demand for platform support among independent journalists seeking sustainable revenue models.
