Belgian startup Any unveils cargo-capable electric motorcycle and seeks new funding

Any, a startup based in Belgium, presented the LUV1, a modular electric motorcycle that combines the speed of a scooter with the cargo capacity of a bike, storing up to 120 liters. The design, created by ex-Pininfarina design director Lowie Vermeersch, allows users to choose open or panelled frames, add windshields, racks and other accessories for pets, work gear or camping. The prototype gained attention at Milan Design Week and helped the company collect more than 600 reservations within 100 days, each backed by a refundable €49 fee.

Funding to date includes €1.5 million raised in November and a €1.25 million top-up in May, totaling €2.75 million, with investors and advisors from the automotive sector. Any has hired industry veterans such as head of engineering Alessandro Mangano, formerly of Aprilia, Ferrari and Piaggio Group. To move from prototype to full production and develop additional models, the firm is targeting a Series A round of about €10 million by year-end.
